Twitter Tools for Startup Promotions
Using the right Twitter tools to promote and grow your startup
Twitter is one of the largest conversations you’ll ever come across. To understand and use it to its best you’ll need a few tools.
massive, you’ll need help from tools in order to harness it. Here are four Twitter tools that will help you accomplish the above five points.
Tweetdeck is one of the most common Twitter tools use as it is the that is officially supported by Twitter. You can use it to divide content into streams of information by searching for keywords and hashtags. It’s ability to schedule content for the future, along with pictures, may be your biggest timesaver.
Hootsuite is nearly identical to Tweetdeck in every way except three:
- It allows you to use custom link shorteners that allow you to better track data.
- It allows you to link other social media accounts under the one dashboard so you can also manage Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, and other accounts.
- You can’t schedule tweets with pictures in them.
Everything else is the same. If you have to use one only, I’d go with Tweetdeck. Personally, I use both as I like the stats I can pull from Hootsuite, while I use Tweetdeck just to schedule tweets with pictures.
Buffer’s specialty is the sharing of webpages with a scheduling feature. This helps you when you’re on a reading spree one day, find all sorts of articles that your new startups potential customers may be interested in. You can schedule out those articles throughout the day, week, or month, without flooding your Twitter account all at once.
Paper.Li takes the best tweets from your you and your followers and puts them all together as a sort of online newspaper. You can do this manually, or use the automatic feature. You can now create Twitter content out of Twitter content!
The bonus of this is the tweet which is sent out by Paper.Li @mentions the Twitter users whose content you’re using. This is a great way to work on those influencers I was talking about above.
Effectively managing a startups new Twitter account
Managing your startups new Twitter account takes the right set of skills, and a good plan. Socially, be sure to:
